About the Topic

Evolving career landscapes and interests can lead beyond the typical vertical climb through a given specialty in R&D. Fortunately, there are many paths potentially available for scientists seeking roles beyond the bench.

In this first PBSS workshop of a series, career transitions to Project Management (PM) and Regulatory Affairs will be explored, in collaboration with 2 Bay Area organizations: BioPharmaPM (BPPM), and the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society - San Francisco (RAPS-SF). Experts from recruiting, career development, executive coaching, PM, and Regulatory will describe potential roles within PM and Regulatory, including lessons learned, personal advice and experiences, tips for success, desirable attributes, and pros and cons of the role. Introductions to the BPPM and RAPS-SF organizations will also provide useful resources and networking opportunities.

Subsequent workshops in the series will explore possibilities in Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Commercial, Venture Capital, Business Development, Medical Affairs, Intellectual Property, and others
