We are seeking an In-Vivo PK Research Associate for our Discovery site located in South San Francisco, CA

 

Enhancing our global leadership in providing drug discovery and development products and services to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, Charles River is launching the offering of discovery DMPK services (non-GLP) from our South San Francisco site. We seek to enhance our services’ value to our clients by increasing our ease of doing business with, shortening timelines and developing deeper collaborative partnerships with our clients, all enabled by our proximity to and embeddedness in this critically important biotech research hub and ecosystem.

 

We are seeking an In-Vivo PK Research Associate candidate early in their career and are highly motivated, enthusiastic and possess a passion for learning.  This individual will work closely with more senior colleagues to contribute to the establishment and delivery of discovery in-vivo rodent PK services from our South San Francisco locoation.  This position is ideally suited to recent graduates who enjoy a fast-paced and collegial environment.  The individual in this position will be responsible for working hands-on and under the direction of more senior staff in a dynamic environment where teamwork, data quality, innovation and speed are valued.



Qualifications/Experience:

The following are minimum requirements related to the Discovery In-Vivo PK Research Associate Position:

 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with more junior and senior colleagues.
  • Prior experience in rodent in-vivo technical procedures and husbandry highly desired, including test material administration via standard routes and collection and processing of common biospecimen samples.
  • Clear, timely and accurate recording of all study related data in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Active participation in the review of all data and study-related procedures and protocols
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills enabling management of multiple, concurrent tasks & priorities
  • Proficiency in the use of standard software including Microsoft® Excel and Word
  • Demonstrated understanding of and an absolute commitment to excellence in all aspects of research animal welfare
  • Ensure compliance to all company policies, procedures and applicable regulations.
  • Identify and report any difficulties encountered in study execution as necessary
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent in a scientifically related discipline.
  • Experience:  Minimum of 2 years related experience in the contract research or pharmaceutical industry. 
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
