Drug Delivery Experts, LLC is a contract services company working in the area of drug product development under contract with pharma and biotech companies on their proprietary programs and working on in-house developed technologies.  State of the art laboratory facilities are in Sorrento Valley. 

 Job Summary

• Conducts research, analysis, synthesis, and wet lab experimentation on substances, for product and process development, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and improvement of analytical methodologies, for pharmaceutical products, medical devices, and life sciences applications.
• This is a full-time laboratory position where candidate is expected to be on their feet working in the lab for much of the work day, then completing data analysis for review by supervisor.
• Following a probationary period of 3 to 6 months, full time staff are offered a competitive medical benefits package and 401k participation. 

 General Accountabilities

• Follows established data collection and management procedures to prepare, collect, record or enter data. Cleans and edits data and performs basic analysis. Assists in preparing and editing, slides for data review, proposals, reports, operating procedures, and other technical documents.
• Maintains databases and other records for reporting and compliance purposes and generates reports and analysis of data according to project schedules or on an ad hoc basis.
• Orders supplies and equipment. Researches new equipment purchases and develops recommendations for supervisors’ consideration. Oversees equipment maintenance and works with contractors for repair.
• Generates data from a variety of wet laboratory techniques and analytical instrumentation, such as HPLC, UV/Vis or fluorescent plate reader, viscometer, osmometer, pH meter, etc..

• Maintains laboratory notebooks and creates and maintains data and report files in compliance with regulatory and corporate guidelines.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Associate Scientist candidates must have B.S. degree in pharmaceutical/chemical sciences or a similar field and have at least 1 year of experience working in a chemistry or related research laboratory. 

Prefer 1-2 years professional experience working as lab scientist in pharmaceutical or biotech company.
